Bio:

David Reid is a lifelong martial artist and highly regarded as one of Spain’s most experienced MMA and Combat Sambo coaches. Originally from London, Great Britain, David began his journey in martial arts at a young age through Judo, which sparked a lifelong fascination with combat sports and technical mastery across multiple disciplines.

Over the years he has trained and competed at a high level in Sambo, Kudo, and Jujitsu, proudly representing Great Britain in all three. David has fought internationally in the UK, Spain, Germany, and Morocco, earning recognition for both his technical ability and competitive spirit.

David has trained under some of the most respected martial artists and coaches in the world, including studying within the MMA system of Erik Paulson, as well as gaining experience training at some of the top gyms including the famous Snake Pit. These experiences helped shape his well-rounded and highly effective approach to martial arts.

A two-time international champion and British and World medalist, David holds a black belt in Atemi Jujitsu and is a Master of Sambo. His achievements as both a competitor and coach have established him as one of the most respected martial arts instructors working in Spain today.

Alongside his competitive career, David holds a Highfield coaching qualification and brings years of first-hand experience into his teaching. His coaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that martial arts is more than a sport — it is a way of life built on discipline, respect, and continuous improvement.

Known for his intense yet technical coaching style, David focuses on strong fundamentals, adaptability, and developing each student’s individual strengths. Whether working with beginners or experienced fighters, his goal is to help every student reach their full potential both inside and outside the gym.
